A family which was established in Burgundy way back in 1350 and founded its estate in 1981 by Bernard Bichot, the family has maintained the ownership and management for 6 generations now. Nowadays, the estate is managed by Alberic Bichot (since 1996) and produces wines from over 100 hectares of vineyards. Having worked in his father’s vineyard since 1991, Denis Mortet set up his domaine under his own name and quickly made a name for himself as he was a perfectionist who put a lot of care and effort from vines to wines.
