Guigal's "La La"s have been produced since 1966 and are some of the most renowned fine wines in the world nowadays; therefore, they are high - if not at the top - on the list of every wine lover's must-have list for their cellars and definitely a wine that any wine lover would want to get a taste of at least once in a lifetime. Due to their extremely minuscule production, there are only 400+ cases made for each cuvee, making back vintages very difficult to get hold of. The "La La"s comprises of three different cuvees - "La Mouline", "La Landonne" and "La Turque" -
La Mouline - The first "La La" of the three. The blend consists of Syrah with 11% Viognier. It is typically “perfumed and fragrant” as per Neal Martin from Wine Advocate, with exotic stone fruits prominent.
La Landonne - The second “La La” with the first vintage released in the late 1970s. This is 100% Syrah, therefore offering a denser, earthier, more powerful wine.
La Turque - The youngest of the three which debuted in 1985. Similar to the La Mouline, it is a blend of Syrah and Viognier but less of Viognier than Mouline and therefore more exuberant. This has the smallest production of the three with at max 400 cases made per year.
Please find our offer of Guigal’s "La La"s Cote Rotie below. Mouline 2007 would be our top pick - from an excellent vintage in Rhone, it has the best value-for-money at just HK$1,990 per bottle -
