“Established a reputation second only to Anselme Selosse of Jacques Selosse for high-quality, terroir-expressive wines from the Cote des Blancs.” Peter Liem, champagneguide.net
“Pascal Agrapart embodies the best of the artisan tradition in Champagne, and his wines show it.” Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate
Behind all the big Champagne houses, there are some small Champagne growers who play a crucial part in Champagne. They put a lot of effort in the vineyard and adapt progressive practices in winemaking, making high-quality and terroir-expressive Champagnes at reasonable price tags. Agrapart Et Fils is one of the top growers that is worth everyone’s attention, from La Revue du vin de France, a well-known French publication who gives Agrapart Et Fils a three-star rating (the highest rating available), and there has only been nine other Champagne estates that were rewarded with 3-stars which includes Jacques Selosse, Krug, Egly Ouriet, etc.
Pascal Agrapart has been always compared to his neighbor Anselme Selosse however their styles are different. Applying a non-interference approach in the vineyard, Pascal Agrapart uses less oak and oxygen in their wines and retains comparatively old vines in his vineyards, with the oldest in Avize of over 60 years. Agrapart gives rich and complex structure to his wines and retains crystalline purity that are enjoyable when young but also with potential to age. We are glad to offer the recently released 2011 vintage, at best price in market* -
Agrapart Blanc de Blancs Minéral Grand Cru 2011
HK$630 per bottle (Minimum order 3 bottles)
91 pts Antonio Galloni
The 2011 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Minéral Grand Cru is a very pretty wine, even if it is a touch light in this vintage. A wine of modest structure and complexity relative to the norm here, the Minéral does avoid the vegetal qualities and other strident notes of other 2011s. There is good energy and vibrancy to the wine, if not quite the layers of flavor that are signatures of the very best editions. The Minéral emerges from Les Champboutons in Avize and Les Bionnes in Cramant, both of which are high in limestone and planted with vines that are more than 40 years old. This release is equal parts 2014 ad 2013 vintages. Disgorged: May 2017. Dosage is 5 grams per liter.
Agrapart Blanc de Blancs L'Avizoise Grand Cru 2011
HK$820 per bottle (Minimum order 3 bottles)
94 pts Antonio Galloni
The 2011 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs L'Avizoise Grand Cru has more than enough brawn and depth to fill out its frame. The richness of fruit of this clay-rich site, along with the flavor complexity that is gained through aging on the cork results in a rich, vinous Champagne built on layers of flavor and vertical structure. As good as the 2011 is today, I would prefer to drink it on the earlier side given the challenges that 2011 presented. This is a superb wine for the year and a real revelation. Old vines in the Les Robarts and La Voie d’Epernay lieu-dits inform the Avizoise. Disgorged: May 2017. Dosage is 5 grams per liter.
Agrapart Blanc de Blancs Vénus Grand Cru 2011
HK$1,200 per bottle (Minimum order 3 bottles)
95 pts Antonio Galloni
Agrapart's 2011 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Vénus Grand Cru is a dream wine. Deceptively medium in body, the Vénus is all about nuance, sensuality and layers. Vibrant and finely sculpted, the 2011 exudes class. Hints of lemon peel, minerals and flowers add complexity, but it is the total package here that is most impressive. Today, the Vénus is dazzling. Vénus emerges from the La Fosse lieu-dit, a site that was first planted in 1959, and that, miraculously, has never been worked with mechanical methods. Disgorged: May 2017 and bottled with no dosage.
