A micro-negotiant but highly regarded, Lucien Le Moine liaises with only 1er and grand cru growers, buying in their premium grapes to produce what is currently considered one of the most highly collectible Burgundy reds and whites. Lucien Le Moine produces a wide range of wines however in minuscule quantities, usually limited to one to three barrels (300-900 bottles) per wine per year.
Lucien Le Moine was started by two people, Mounier and Rotem, who used to age their wines in a cool and humid cellar which is rarely found in Beaune. They claimed to undergo the longest fermentation in Burgundy, making their wines complex, powerful and always age well. As it is in quite high demand among Burgundy aficionados, old vintages are rarely found unless people are willing to pay a premium for the bottle.
Today we are happy to offer a great parcel from Lucien Le Moine 2003, which is believed to be a hot vintage but able to age very well. They will be impressive and being made by a brilliant winemaker who produces wines that reflect unique terroir from each barrel, it could be a wonderful experience to taste each bottle in this parcel head to head!
These wines you will probably not see again in the market if you miss this opportunity, with no solid listing available on wine-searcher –
Available to purchase separately but priority to buyer who take the whole parcel. Please let me know if you would like to secure this.
