Every Champagne lover should try a bottle of Jacques Selosse at least once in their lifetime. "How does Jacques Selosse compare to the big names like Krug, Dom Perignon and Cristal then?" You may ask. Well, sorry you can't compare them because Jacques Selosse is exceptionally different in style!


The owner/winemaker Anselme Selosse is a leading light for all Champagne growers, successfully pioneered with a standard to be followed by many young producers nowadays. Antonio Galloni has recently tasted a fantastic range from Jacques Selosse at a dinner in New York in July 2017, fully impressed by its wines and described it as “among the most coveted bottles in Champagne".  


To put it simple, Jacques Selosse’s wines are fully ripe, oxidative with a distinctive oakiness since their juice is fermented in very good oak barrels. They are absolutely a wine to enjoy by giving a lot of care, decanting and taking the time to really savour it. Ideally, treat it as a Burgundy instead of a Champagne to pop the cork only for the festive season. We have had great joy with every bottle of Jacques Selosse we've tried and we suggest you to cellar a few.
