Joseph Drouhin Meursault 2017

HK$2,310 per case of 6 (HK$385 per bottle)

90 pts Neal Martin

The 2017 Meursault Village, which was bottled in October 2018, offers attractive scents of brioche, dried honey and orange blossom that seem to gain intensity with aeration. The palate is well balanced, displaying a fine bead of acidity and light orange pith, apricot and quince notes. The satisfying, fresh finish leaves a touch of ginger on the aftertaste. Very fine.

Joseph Drouhin Puligny-Montrachet 2017

HK$2,310 per case of 6 (HK$385 per bottle)

91 pts Neal Martin

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Village is a little fuller on the nose than the Meursault Village, featuring attractive aromas of hazelnut and orange pith – actually quite Meursault-like in style. The palate is well balanced with impressive concentration, especially for a Village Cru, and crammed full of green apples and pears. A light saline note emerges toward the satisfying finish. Excellent.

Joseph Drouhin Chassagne-Montrachet 2017

HK$2,310 per case of 6 (HK$385 per bottle)

90 pts Neal Martin

The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Village is initially closed on the nose but develops nicely in the glass, displaying impressive mineralité and terroir expression for a Village Cru. The cohesive palate is well balanced, with a fine line of acidity and a brisk, saline, marine-influenced finish that is top-drawer. Try to grab a couple of cases of this.

Joseph Drouhin Vosne-Romanee 2016

HK$2,700 per case of 6 (HK$450 per bottle)

89pts Stephen Tanzer

Bright medium red. Expressive aromas of black raspberry, menthol and minerals are complicated by a note of dark chocolate. Riper and suppler than the Chambolle villages, conveying a more open-knit texture and lovely sucrosité to its black raspberry and spice flavors. Finishes with finer, more horizontal tannins than the Chambolle. Faure-Brac vinified this wine with just 20% whole clusters but it does not lack for energy. A very good example of a relaxed 2016 made without frost influence.
