The second day of our Week of Burgundy Grand Crus - we are happy to offer an exclusive access to a Maison’s old cellar and picked a bottle of Jaffelin Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2008 which we tasted in a restaurant during our trip in Beaune earlier this year and found the quality to be immense, deep, focused and concentrated - a true insider buy. A small-scale Maison located in Beaune, Jaffelin started its maison business way back in 1816. Production is minuscule for the Corton-Charlemagne and many are sold to restaurants and hotels in France. This parcel we are offering today has never been moved since its release in 2009, staying in the cellar peacefully for 10 years and has now reached its prime. With only 36 bottles remaining from the maison's cellar, this is a great buy not to be missed! -
