Thanks to their strong financial arm, Bouchard Pere et Fils is one of the top Maisons in Burgundy that produces sublime wines at very reasonable prices. Their whites are known to be concentrated and dense, and refined with oak that allows a big wine to age for a long time.
We have recently successfully purchased a parcel of Bouchard Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2005 and think it is a mature, top white which you should not miss. Comparing the price and scores from Allen Meadows for the 2005 against the same from excellent winemakers such as d’Auvenay, Leflaive and Bonneau du Martray, it just goes without saying how great this wine is -
Bouchard Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru: HK$1,290 / 95pts
d'Auvenay Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru: HK$54,979# / 95pts
Leflaive Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru: HK$4,114# / 94pts
Bonneau du Martray Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru: HK$2,159# / 95pts
Only 24 bottles available so if you are interested to take a few please let me know immediately -

95pts Allen Meadows “Don’t Miss!”
An expressive and highly interesting nose of cool and fresh green apple surrounded by freshly baked brioche aromas leads to big, rich and sleekly muscled flavors that are quite ripe yet there is a very firm acid backbone that maintains outstanding focus on the almost painfully intense mineral-infused finish. This is a 'wow' wine that cedes nothing to the Montrachet in terms of power and weight.
