Domaine Leflaive is arguably the best white producer in Burgundy. Sadly their winemaker Anne-Claude Leflaive, who was named the best maker of white wines in the world by Decanter Magazine and one of the greatest figures in Burgundy who drove Domaine Leflaive to be a top estate, passed away in 2015. Her passing drove white Burgundy collectors to be even more keen to stash as many of her productions as possible, making her wines scarcer by the day. At high pedigree, Domaine Leflaive’s whites are highly regarded to be some of the wines with long aging potential and owners of Leflaive bottles are often rewarded for their patience.
We are glad to have secured a case of Leflaive Puligny Montrachet Les Clavoillon 2006 and trust it will be delicious to taste now. Jancis Robinson MW describes the wines to be "one of the most difficult wines to spit of the entire 2006 tasting" and Jeannie Cho Lee MW adds the merit, saying this excellent wine is “a wine with crunchy acidity and fine line. Young but sensational now."

Herbily scented with a hint of spring flowers and oil. Massive concentration. Really exciting already yet with lots more still to give. Anyone who bought this should be very pleased with themselves. One of the most difficult wines to spit of the entire 2006 tasting. Very long. Jancis Robinson

A very expressive Clavoillon with toasted almonds and hazelnut flavours along with hints of stone fruit such as apricots and nectarines. A wine with crunchy acidity and fine line. Young but sensational now.
