We are glad to offer a very special wine that is not commonly found in the market - one that is made with 100% from tiny “millerandage” grapes (or also called "shot berries")! Millerandage grapes have much higher skin-to-juice ratio than your average Pinot Noir, therefore gives more concentrated flavors to the wine, and they are difficult to grow hence production is extremely low and not every vintage is used to produce wine. As they are much more difficult to care for, many makers have decided to give up the millerandage grapes or reduce the percentage of millerandage grapes used in their wines. Domaine Marc Roy is one of the most well-known producers who encourages growth of millerandage, and makes this treasurable wine from the small and seedless grapes, making this unique, firm and solid red when the vintage allows her to do so. The winemaker of Marc Roy, Alexandrine Roy describes 2014 to be a vintage of “super vintage that gave us elegant, balanced and refreshing wines”, while Allen Meadows has said the Cuvee Alexandrine is of “Outstanding Top Value” so when it is available, please do not miss the chance to collect a few –
