A spectacular domaine in Chambolle Musigny who owns 70% of the entire Le Musigny with decent holdings also in Bonnes Mares and les Amoureuses, Comte de Vogue is arguably one of best Chambolle-Musigny producers, on par with George Roumier and JF Mugnier. The estate had a serious downturn between the 1960s and mid-1980s before its a big comeback in the 1990s producing wines with silky texture and perfume aromas with substantial aging ability.
Among the domaine line-ups, people should not miss their Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru. All grapes are sourced from the domaine’s 7.2ha holding of Le Musigny where they use young vines from Le Musigny and bottle them into Chambolle Musigny Premier Cru. It gives an electric touch from the highly regarded Musigny and people are able to enjoy them young and at better price tag.
We have seriously picked a few of Comte de Vogue's best and trust these are worthy to collect. With 2002 Chambolle Musigny and Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru starting to reach the best time for drinking, they would be good bottles to enjoy. You may need to be patient for Les Amoueuses and Bonnes Mares but compared with earlier vintages, the prices are too good to reject.
