Henri Giraud is a prestigious name known for producing rich, extensive and powerful wine. Their wines are 100% oak-fermented and the house insists on producing with oak casks from the forest in Aÿ to impose the forest terroir into the wine, giving it one of the most unique flavors among all Champagnes. One of their most notable creations is their premium “multi-vintage” cuvee called "Fût de Chêne" which is a blend of around 70-75% Pinot Noir and 25-30% Chardonnay, with the grapes coming only from the best Grand Cru sites, and aged in oak casks for a minimum of 12 months before peacefully lying down for another 72 months until they achieve the best integration of fruits and oak.
Today we are pleased to offer their MV10 which was elaborated from a blend of fresh grapes and from Cuvées de Réserve aged in Solera. This cuvee was aged for 12 months in oak barrels and another 5 years in the bottle. Awarded with 95 points from Antonio Galloni with tasting notes saying that this offers "crème brûlée, orange peel, spice, butter, pastry and passion fruit are all front and center"... Available in standard 75cl and 3L format, and packed in individual gift boxes that come with an original tool offered and created by Henri Giraud -

A few years after its release, the MV Fût de Chêne (2010 base) has begun to develop a range of tropical inflections that give the wine its distinctly exotic feel today. Crème brûlée, orange peel, spice, butter, pastry and passion fruit are all front and center. Opulent and voluptuous to the core, the 2010 is super-expressive today. Time in the glass brings out pretty floral notes that add freshness. In fact, this is one of the wines that changed most over the course of the tasting. In this edition, Fût de Chêne is 70% 2010 and 30% reserve wines.
Subject to final confirmation. ETA for standard and 3L formats varies as stated above.
