The eldest son of the honored white winemaker in Saint-Aubin, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey set up his own winery under his own name after working in his father's domaine for over 10 years. Given his talent and influence from his father, he quickly made a name for himself and became one of the most highly sought-after labels in the world of Chardonnay. He applied new methods in his own domaine - using larger barrels (350-litre), no battonage (lees stirring) in the winemaking process and top his wines with wax - all of which aim to avoid premature oxidation as well as making pure, elegant and precise wines which genuinely express the characteristics of the terroirs. Due to the popularity of his wines, it is not easy to source his bottles, especially back vintages so it is always a good idea to pick up a few bottles whenever they are available.
Today we are pleased to offer their Meursault Les Narvaux 2010 which was awarded with a compelling score of 93 points from Antonio Galloni which he says, "The 2010 boasts striking purity from start to finish". A back-vintage and which is one of the best vintages in the recent decades, this is an excellent opportunity not to be missed -

12 bottles available, ETA 4 weeks 93pts Antonio Galloni If forced to choose an appellation where Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey excels above the others, it might very well be Meursault, and the 2010 Meursault Narvaux is a great example of that. The 2010 boasts striking purity from start to finish. Layers of precise, crystalline fruit caress the palate in this intense, beautifully perfumed wine. The deep, resonant finish leaves a lasting impression. Frankly, it is hard to move on from here.
