Back in the olden days, the amazing qualities of Burgundy wine were shaped by large negociants and the oldest and most distinguished negociant was Charles Viénot which was founded in 1735. Nearly every list of greatest 20th Century wines includes at least a few from Charles Viénot. The business was sold to the Charles Boisset Group in 1984 while their Richebourg plot was sold to Jean Grivot. Nowadays, Charles Viénot continues to craft high quality wines from small, exclusive parcels selected by the team and that includes the Richebourg plot that is still managed by Jean Grivot.
We are delighted to be able to purchase a parcel of Charles Viénot Richebourg Grand Cru 1982 from Charles Viénot's official distributor in Europe, which has been kept in professional storage ever since. Now showing at its very best, for any lover of mature Burgundy, this will not disappoint. There is no another availability in the market^ and these come in original wooden boxes, so this is a very rare opportunity and one we expect to attract a lot of interest, so please do take a look and let us know if you would like to secure any as soon as possible -
