A Champagne house with a long history, Champagne Edouard Brun was founded by Edouard Brun in 1898 and later joined by Edmond Lefevre in 1927. The Champagne house is situated in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ and owns a total of 8 hectares of vineyards rated Premier and Grand Cru statuses which are broadly located in the Montagne de Reims, in and around Ay and Mareuil, where chardonnay, pinot noir and Meunier grape varieties are all represented. Now run by the 3rd generation of Lefevre - Emmanuel and Philippe - the house has evolved from "a very traditional house to a more fruit-driven direction" as described by Tom Stevenson, a British wine author and leading authority on Champagne.
