Louis Roederer Philippe Starck Brut Nature is one of the best bargains in the market among all Champagne collaborations with artists and which is only produced in fantastic vintages. The creation of this champagne stemmed from the intuition of Louis Roederer's CEO Frédéric Rouzaud, which Philippe Starck developed the idea, and Cellar Master, Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, made their vision a reality. It started with a few descriptors - "honest", "minimal", "diagonal", and "modern", and Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon brought these words to life and decided that the champagne shall be "a fresh wine from clay soils in a sunny year" and that was how Brut Nature was born. As the house describes it, this champagne is "the perfect illustration of the alliance between Man and Nature".
The first opus was the Brut Nature 2006, with the second vintage in 2009, and now a third - the 2012 vintage. The 2012 vintage is a year that produced high quality grapes which have remarkable strength and character, with even more vibrant and generous Pinot Noirs which led the house to produce not just one champagne, but two - Blanc and Rosé.
Having purchased a small parcel of both the Blanc and Rosé 2012 from France in late August, we are excited to have received them in our latest shipment earlier this week. Packed in beautiful individual gift-boxes, this will be a fantastic gift option as well as an artistic collectible to be included in your cellar -
