Champagne J. de Telmont was established in Damery in 1912 by the L'hôpital family and is now managed by the 4th generation of the family - brother and sister Bertrand and Pascale L'hôpital. They own 33 hectares of vineyards across 8 villages with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier planted. They manage the vineyards with strong respect to the environment and even apply biodynamic methods to about a third of their lands with the aim to go 100% organic in the long-run. Their Champagnes are known for their consistent quality and the amazingly good value for money; and are considered to be among the top twenty Champagne producers in the region. They have a nice range of Champagnes available for selection and we are pleased to offer three cuvees from the range today which includes Grand Reserve Brut, Grand Vintage and Heritage.
Grand Reserve Brut: The result of a subtle marriage of the three grape varieties and a blend of several years. The Champagne is beautifully balanced, combining richness, fruitiness and freshness.
Grand Vintage: Created only during years of exceptional harvest qualities, it is produced with grapes from a single great year which makes it ideal for ageing.
Heritage: A blend dominated by Pinot Mineur which is aged extensively in the bottle and undergoes second fermentation in an ultimate way, offering a unique expression of how a perfectly aged Champagne can become.
