With a history dating as far back as 1731, Bouchard Père et Fils is one of most famous winegrowers, négociants, and producers based in Beaune. They hold the finest plots in Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, in which more than two-thirds hold Grand Cru and Premier Cru statuses. Since the acquisition by Henriot in 1995, it has been pushed to the top echelon of Burgundy producers and quality has further improved since the first-ever gravity-flow winery in the region was completed in 2005.
Bouchard Père et Fils has a fantastic line-up of both reds and whites produced from its 130 hectares of vineyard in Bourgogne. With both financial and winemaking arms, they produce wines that effectively express different climats with quality being consistently excellent year after year, attributed to the intensive work carried out from vineyard to bottle. Their wine is highly popular among Burgundy lovers as they offer amazing value-for-money compared to other producers that produce the same. Take Chambertin Clos-de-Beze 2011 as an example, Bouchard was scored close to that of Armand Rousseau but the price is only about 10% of Rousseau's^ -

This is also moderately toasty though it's not enough to hide the hallmark spiciness of a classic Clos de Bèze along with ripe black pinot fruit, stone and game nuances. There is excellent richness and impressive volume to the extract-rich mid-palate that imparts a seductive mouth feel to the medium-weight flavors. The aspect that is really remarkable here though is just the sheer depth, which when coupled with the superb length make for one exciting wine. Note carefully though that this will also need extended cellaring.
Aside from Clos de Beze, we are also pleased to offer their Le Corton 2011 -
Bouchard Le Corton Grand Cru 2011 (Sold Out)
HK$690 per bottle
Special Offer – HK$670 per bottle (Valid until end of Monday, 6th July 2020)

Discreet if not invisible wood surrounds the complex but restrained red currant, spice, smoke, earth and sauvage permeated aromas. There is excellent power and plenty of punch to the broad-shouldered and solidly well-concentrated flavors that possess fine mid-palate concentration before culminating in a balanced and exceptionally persistent finish. This classically styled Corton really does a slow build from the mid-palate on back, though note well that it will be pointless to open this in its youth; in fact, don't buy this unless you intend to cellar it.
Subject to final confirmation. ETA 2-3 weeks. Special price valid from now until end of next Monday, 6th July 2020.
